Terms of Service
Effective and last updated: July 16, 2026
These terms govern your use of Solace. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Solace.
1. About Solace
Solace is an independent, voice-first AI companion created by Debajyoti Saikia. It provides AI-generated conversation for sleep, comfort, focus, creativity, learning, roleplay, and everyday use. Solace is not a Microsoft product or endorsement.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
3. Not therapy, medical care, or an emergency service
Solace is not a therapist, healthcare provider, medical device, crisis line, emergency dispatcher, or substitute for qualified professional care. It does not diagnose, treat, prevent, or cure any condition. Do not rely on it for medical, legal, financial, or other professional decisions.
If you or someone else may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. In the United States or Canada, call or text 988 for crisis support where available. Solace may show crisis resources, but automated detection can miss or misunderstand language.
4. AI-generated content
Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, inappropriate, or unexpected. Voice output can contain pauses, pronunciation errors, interruptions, or other model limitations. You are responsible for evaluating all output before acting on it.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use Solace to:
- Break laws, violate rights, or facilitate fraud or abuse.
- Threaten, harass, exploit, or endanger another person.
- Create or distribute sexual content involving minors.
- Impersonate a real person deceptively or violate publicity rights.
- Probe, disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or bypass security.
- Automate access in ways that evade limits or consume unfair resources.
- Use output as authoritative professional or emergency guidance.
Access may be limited or terminated to protect users, providers, the public, or the service.
6. Your content and saved transcripts
You retain rights you hold in content you provide. You grant Solace the limited permission needed to transmit and process that content to operate, secure, and improve the service. Solace does not store audio. Optional transcript text is stored only when you save it or enable retention. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you provide.
7. Accounts, plans, and payment
Some features require a Pro entitlement. Pricing and self-service billing are not yet available. If paid plans launch, pricing, renewal, cancellation, taxes, and refund terms will be disclosed before a purchase. Entitlements are controlled by the service and may not be fabricated, transferred, or bypassed.
8. Third-party services
Solace depends on services including Google Firebase, Google Cloud, and Vertex AI. Their terms, policies, availability, and technical limits also affect your use. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience and do not imply endorsement.
9. Availability and changes
The service may change, pause, degrade, or end without guarantee. AI models and preview APIs can change behavior or become unavailable. Features may be added, removed, restricted, or limited to maintain safety, security, performance, legal compliance, or cost control.
10. Intellectual property
Solace’s software, brand, design, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Solace is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, reliability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free output.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the creator and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, goodwill, opportunity, or profits; or harm caused by reliance on AI output, service outages, third parties, or unauthorized account access. Rights that cannot be excluded by applicable law remain unaffected.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold the creator and contributors harmless from claims arising from your unlawful use, violation of these terms, or infringement of another person’s rights.
14. Governing terms
Applicable law governs these terms. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement relating to your use of Solace.
15. Changes and contact
Terms may be updated as the service evolves. The effective date will change when revisions are published. Contact Debajyoti Saikia through deb0.com with questions.
